Healthy communities thrive on the free flow of information. The Communications Committee’s mission is to develop and implement communications strategies that keep residents abreast of Town issues and facilitate opportunities for discussion and debate.
The Communications Committee’s plan for the balance of 2007 includes: * Assisting departments and committees with implementing their pages on the new town website; ensure they have the training to maintain those pages as circumstances change. * Developing efficient procedures (including responsible people) for the Town Board and committees to maintain up-to-date on-line information including a calendar, announcements of public hearings and meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and relevant documents, like proposed regulations and projects, and completed studies for public review. * Developing a strategy for generating timely and cost effective news feed both on and off the web. * Publicizing the new town website and any other new resources
