Medical Sharps |
| |
Needles, syringes, lancets and other sharp materials that come in contact with human blood or body fluids should be disposed of properly. The mishandling of sharps can create a large potential danger to family members, solid waste and recycling workers. The SHARPS program, coordinated by the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency, should be used to dispose of home generated sharps. Many hospitals and health care facilities will accept this type of medical waste in approved containers on a scheduled basis. Call 336-3336 for further information or visit http://www.ucrra.org/
All Fees are subject to change
