Town Of Hurley: Departments: Recreation [Digital Towpath]

The Town of Hurley Recreation Department oversees the Hurley Park on Dug Hill Rd in West Hurley, as well as the camps associated with that facility and other youth activities. The Department also runs trips throughout the year for a variety of educational, sporting, and entertainment events. These trips are publicized in the Town of Hurley Newsletter and on this website.

Town Park
	The Town of Hurley Park is located near the top of Dug Hill Rd in West Hurley. The grounds boast a pavilion, building with kitchen and bathroom, playground, double ball field, basketball court, and a sand volleyball court. There is also a small bike trail through the upper woods called Blueberry Trail due to the wild berries through which the trail was blazed.

Park Rental

You must be a Town of Hurley resident to rent the Park and facilities on Dug Hill Rd. Reservations for any given date must be made in that calendar year. The ball field cannot be rented and the park remains open to the public if the pavilion is rented.

A refundable security deposit of $100 will be collected on all park reservations
An optional non-refundable $50 kitchen fee will be collected where applicable

Also non-refundable is a trash removal fee that will be based on the size of your party. We are simply trying to be fair and equitable with our fee structure, so please bear in mind that a custodian will monitor all events and an additional fee will be deducted from your security deposit should your party exceed the number listed on your application.

Up to 50 people $20 non-refundable

Up to 100 people $30 non-refundable

Up to 200 people $40 non-refundable

Over 200 people $50 non-refundable

Schedule of Events

If you are interested in one of the following trips, please call the Recreation Department at 331-7474 ext 313, or email Erma Moore. Leave your name, address, phone number, which trip(s) you're interested in, and the number of reservations you'lll need for your household. You will receive a confirmation call at which time payment is due. If payment is not received within 1 week, your name will be removed from the reservation list. Trips are on a first-come-first-served basis, and Town of Hurley residents are given preference over non-residents. If you need to cancel please call immediately as most trips have a waiting list. If your seat cannot be filled, we are unable to issue a refund. We cannot honor requests for large blocks of tickets. Payment should be made by check to Town of Hurley Clerk and mailed to:

If an event is sold out it is always advisible to put your name on the waiting list.

Special Activities

The Town Park will be open each day from 9:00AM till 9:00PM, weather permitting. Please remember that this is our Town Park, so please report any vandalism or misbehavior to the Town Offices at 331-7474 ext 2.
