Route 209 Bridge Closure and Detours

The Route 209 bridge that goes over the Esopus Creek between the Town of Hurley and the Town of Ulster, will be closed beginning June 29, 2018 until August 31, 2018 for structural repairs.

Women's Woodstock Cycling Grand Prix

The WWCGP is a world class women's-only bicycle road race, with all the support of the four towns involved: Woodstock, Shandaken, Hurley and Saugerties.

Spectrum Internet Assist, is a new low-cost, highspeed broadband service that provides qualifying households with Internet Severice for $14.99 per month.

To qualify for Spectrum Internet Assist, a member of the household must be a recipient of one of the following programs:



  • The National School Lunch Program (NSLP);  free or reduced cost lunch
  • The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the NSLP
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI) (age 65 and over only)

2017 Open Space Plan

The Open Space Plan creates a vision for Hurley, which encourages residents to act as partners in conservation and remain active and engaged in determining the future of our town. The purpose of this plan is to assist in protecting Hurley’s most significant open space resources by providing information regarding the importance of those resources, offering a guide through the various voluntary land protection and financing options, and providing short term and long term recommendations that will contribute to the protection of the environmental and economic health of our community.
