REMINDER: Free Narcan training April 20 at Hurley Town Hall

Free training in the use of Narcan, an emergency nasal spray antidote for opioid overdoses, will be offered at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in the Hurley Town Hall, 10 Wamsley Place. (CLICK HERE for map.) The event is open to the public.

A representative of the Ulster County Department of Mental Health will explain what Narcan is and how it’s used, and how to recognize an opioid overdose. There also will be a Q&A period and take-home informational materials, and free Narcan kits will be provided to anyone who wants them.

There is no cost to attend the training, which is expected to last 60 to 90 minutes, and no preregistration is required.
